Image selection | Quality of finish

Initially i wanted to create a publication using only type. If i had the time to create hand-made-type headlines, then it would break up the copy. However with the limited time available, i have made the decision to use images.

I like the idea of the image communicating the aggressive nature through the light and dark shapes, within the image, rather than being a high quality representation of an actual scene. This way it doesnt deter from the type research and analysis, but instead, supports it.

Below is some testing. I have been looking at which will work best for screen print production, but also representing the aggressive lines.

I'm going to develop the bitmap line setting. It gives me the importance of the shapes rather than looking like a bad image.
