I started to think about the issues of the credit crunch. It seems like the whole country is about crash and burn and turn into a nation that resembles a scene from Mad Max. Before people start wearing leather jackets and carrying weaponry then maybe way of dealing with the credit crunch is to make a typeface that smiles at people and is happy.
That when i came across this type face designed by Ramiro Espinoza, titled Tomate. Some of the stresses on the letters start to smile at you, especially the e. The shaping of the letters encourage produce a negative space, which separates the letters in a way that make them look like there having fun.
