E904

I am again representing the e number by illustrating the type to mimic what it derives from. The shellac is a deposit of the female lac. It is used as a glazing agent. Can be found in your crunchie McFlurry. The images would be great as billboard posters. They are not there necessarily to put people off food, but to make them more aware of what is lurking in some products.

Below shows the progression, i wasn't sure how concentrated the lice should. I wanted the direction to be legible but still remain concentrated so it became un-nerving.

E is for addatives

So here we go. I went straight into looking at E-numbers. This brief will be about informing myself about what they are, where they're found, are they all bad. Then using this to inform people about this information.

The images below shows how i represented E120. The e number is drawn from Dactilopius coccus (Dactilopiidae) So it is not suitable for vegetarians.

Didn't get a too bad result from a red sock around a bed light on the kitchen work-top with a piece of white paper.

This book is great for referencing the E Numbers. It was a best seller in 1984. The brown pages smell great.
